What a great event we had at The historic Whitney Mansion January 19th, 2011. With 150+ people in attendance, a good time was had by all. Scott Foltz from Azenza Salon & Spa in Birmingham was our sponsor of the month. Scott and his team of people created a "Burlesque" theme hair and make-up fashion which was a smash ! The crowd love the looks and the models were beautiful. Take a look at our Facebook page to check out photos from the event.

Timing is Everything!

If you couldn't make it to our 2 yr anniversary event, you missed a good time. Many new faces were in the crowd last night. Its always good to see new folks coming to Ties Like Me.
As the title says "Timing is Everything". Right while I was standing at the front entrance greeting people a woman came up to me asking if she could be introduced to a Realtor that was at the event. Gerry Banister from Re/Max Showcase Homes was there and available to talk with his prospective client who is moving from Grand Rapids to the Oakland County area.
The woman also needed a mortgage lender. Kathy Borucki with Flagstar Bank was also on hand to offer her business card and give information making the prospective client feel her time at Ties Like Me was worth the effort.
This is what is group was established for: to keep business coming into our community. You need to be present to get referrals. The more you attend the more you meet folks that are in need of services that our community can provide. Please take advantage of this group. Its there for you to tap into for vaulable resources you can't always find on your own.

2nd Year Anniversary of Ties Like Me

Can you believe it ... we're two years old already! Time has gone by so quickly. Please don't miss this event. Last years anniversary event had over 200 people in attendance. Many good contacts are made at our events and business is staying here in our community. Reid and I are always proud to hear business referrals being passed from person to person. Its a great place to get references and recommendations from folks that are doing business with one another.
A great way to get your business name out to folks is to offer a door prize for one of our monthly drawings or volunteer as a greeter at the registration table. You get to meet everyone coming through the door.
